Dennis D. James

lawbooksDennis settled in Grants Pass in 1977 after attaining his Bachelor’s and Law degree at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. Over the years Dennis handled a wide range of cases from murder trials, architectural malpractice, divorce, probate, and business law. Dennis concentrated his practice since 1996 in the areas of elder law, estate planning, medicaid planning, and probate. He believes that his career experiences have given him valuable perspectives on the protection of the elderly and guiding families in their estate planning needs.

A transplant from St. Louis, Missouri, Dennis calls Grants Pass home. He has served as President of the Josephine County Council on Alcoholism, Grants Pass Kiwanis Club, and SPARC, Inc. (now Southern Oregon Aspire, Inc.). Dennis currently serves as a board member for Lovejoy Hospice and the Josephine Community Libraries.

Dennis is now retired.
